Since my initial survey publishing, I’ve met with Naz dining administration and have joined a student and staff food committee that addresses feedback. I requested more fish, a vegetarian soup, and a stronger focus on vegetables at the center of meals rather than meat. In the time proceeding this meeting, I have been increasingly happy with the meals served.
Delicious plant-based soups have been served alongside the meat soups on weekdays. Millie’s only serves one soup per day and only one day a week; it is meatless, but the progress is appreciated, nonetheless. Fish such as catfish, salmon, cod, and tilapia have been more frequently featured in meals and are among varied sides. Vegetable centered entrees like seared mushrooms have added a lot to my diet and that of non-meat eaters around. The subtle changes to the menu are slight but noticed and valued.
