Dream Scenario, November 10th

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Julianne Nicholson, and Michael Cera
Dream Scenario introduces a concept where the reality for Cage’s character has an uprising from an ordinary professor when he becomes continuously apparent in everyone’s dreams. In the spotlight of fame comes the decline when the dreamers begin fearing him as their dreams turn into nightmares.
Perhaps a lesson for us to understand is that if we desire money and fame, we may know stardom has its tolls, but there can be consequences that seem unimaginable. The dreams are a sort of metaphor for the media; a star doesn't have control over their life through the misinformation/disinformation spread.

Straying from modern movies, this film gives us an old nostalgia while bringing us back to the 1970’s. The storyline of an unhappy prep school instructor, watching over a few students who remain on campus instead of going to family homes during their winter break. The instructor finds himself connecting with a particular student who shares the commonality of having a negative view of the world.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, November 17th

A prequel to the Katniss Everdeen storyline, this is the 10th annual Hunger Games. The film introduces the time prior to Snow being president when he is only a mentor. The game's objective is to find the two individuals who are fitfully, either a songbird or a snake. The selection process is a twisted game where the chosen players fight for their survival while weaning out losers who are brought to their deaths.
Napoleon, November 22nd

Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby
This film conveys the historic storyline of the French military commander Napoleon Bonaparte. Through the war decisions that brought Napoleon success and royalty, this movie also introduces the drama in Napoleon's relationship with wife, Joséphine.
